GO (General Orientation)

General Orientation is a program followed by new BINUSIAN 2020 for 1 week to attend student orientation activities that have been determined from the university and is expected to guide the new students to get to know and understand about the lecture system, technology, and everyday life in the world of college.

This GO program also one of the requirements that must be fulfilled in order for new BINUSIAN 2020 to be a Buddy Coordinator (BC)

Right now, i’m not going to tell you about my experience in General Orientation program because i think somepeoplw will get bored if i just write down my experience and in the end, you will not read it.

So, right now i will “SHOW” you my experience despite write it.

Thanks to my Buddy Coordinator “Matheus Andrew” who made this good video.

Enjoy it.

that’s it.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!.

Organizational Skill

Organizational skill is one of the FEP program that is happening in General Orientation, this program is presented by our Buddy Coordinator in order for us to know the key to be success.

from this program, we learn about Global Employability and Entrepreneurial Skills. it’s about the skills that is necessary for us to get a job, and success in the work or  be an entrepreneur in global context.

and for that we need Attribute for us to graduate but not just a normal graduate but it’s an extraordinary graduate that have a difference capability than other graduate.

here i will give you the Graduate Attribute:

  1.  Spirit
  2. Global Standard Technical Competencies
  3. Employability Entrepreneurial Skills
  4. International Experience Global Mindset
  5. Innovation Capability

that’s it the key for us to be an extraordinary scholar.

thank you.

AO (Academic Orientation)

Academic orientation is a program followed by new BINUSIAN 2020 for 2 weeks before the lecture begins, this program implemented so that the new BINUSIAN 2020 can adjust with the curriculum of each program/department, study skills, basic material from each program/department, adjust the faculty environment, and recognize the faculty/academy supervisor.

in AO program, we learn the material in our field and learn a little about campus life, so when we enter the real campus life, we have become adjust to it.

AO program is one of the FEP program just like GO, but it’s a big difference in it.

in GO, we come from different major study of field such us Information Technology, Information system, International Relationship, Accounting, Management, etc. it’s a big difference with AO program that only have the same major study of field and the people in general orientation are more than the people in AO program. If in General Orientation i have about 50 people in 1 class, in Academic Orientation we just have 35 people in 1 class and all have the same major study of field (Information Technology).

We learn just like a normal College student for 2 weeks and in the last day we have an exam.

that’s it.

thank you for reading my AO experience, because i think it’s so boring when i don’t have a photo or a video in class. So, thank you very much.

After I talked a little bit about HTTP, now I will start to tell you about my experience and my journey in following HTTP event.

The Journey was start at 7.30 AM and then, we went to the BPPT building with tour buses that had been prepared from our university. Arrived at 8.00, we immediately validate the registration and directly enter the auditorium while a movie was being screened. The movie was so interesting, the title is “Zootopia” and it’s about a fiction story where an animal can talk like human and do the activity like what human do. When the story reaches the climax, the film just stop and a band up on stage and sings a song as the opening event HTTP. It was so irritating that I want to know the ending of the story and they just ruin everything. So, the band just sings until the song end. After that, a solo singer came up on stage and sings another song to us and those were the opening of the event.

The event start with the arrival of two MCs, their name is Clarisa Valencia & Sandy Alta Tadete. They were welcoming us and elucidating the HTTP event from the start until the event is over. And then, there is a foreword by Martin Arlando Teng (The President of HTTP event), Jonathan Gozali (The Head of HIMTI Organization in Kemanggisan), Rionaldo Aureri Linggautama (The Head of HIMTI Organization in Alam Sutra), and Fredy Purnomo, S.Kom., M.Kom. (Dean of SOCS BINUS University). After we heard the entire foreword, we watch a video from Drs.Andreas Chang, MBA. (Vice Rector Student Affairs & Community Development)) and learn about 6 traits that were the keys to become success. Such as Energetic, Focus, Sensitive, Flexible, Tolerate, Ego Controlling.

Afterward, the event turn up to become a party where there are games, dance performance, talk show with sources of students who have graduated from BINUS University, visualization drama, band performing, etc. The event closed with DJ Angello performance while we were feasting all day long. And then, we were queuing to get clothes and gifts as a sign that we follow the HTTP event. Time show at 7:30 PM, we go back to our home.

Just like Vince Lombardi said, “The achievements of an organization are the result of the combined effort of each individual”. And so the purpose of this HTTP event is, and I hope we can get the benefit from attending this event for us, and for our future.

HTTP
